The Challenge

The heart-pounding action of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix can turn almost anyone into an instant fan. The real challenge was to capture and deliver that high-octane energy digitally, in order to expose it to a larger global audience. In partnership with Infinite Reality, they created a full-access, immersive, 3D experience that delivered all the excitement and more.

The Experience

Fans of the sport made real connections with each other and their favorite riders during the season-long, multi-country racing tournament. A custom-themed “Skybox” provided virtual trackside seating on race day. Visitors could choose their favorite camera angles to watch live streaming action, or catch up on past race highlights with VOD screens throughout. 

Between races, the VIP suites doubled as fan lounges. Speedway enthusiasts could chat one-on-one with the riders in their team lounges, or teleport straight to the Hall of Champions Museum to wander through the last 100 years of speedway legends and their equipment. With an average time of 20.4 minutes spent per visit, this immersive experience delivered all new ways to enjoy the sport along with record-breaking engagement stats.
