New York – December 12, 2019 – Today ReKTGlobal, the global esports business authority and parent company of professional esports organizations Rogue and the London Royal Ravens, expands its dream team of diverse celebrity investors with the addition of 22-year-old American tennis prodigy Taylor Fritz. Fritz is the third pro-traditional sports athlete to join the ReKTGlobal team over the past six months, teaming up with Washington Redskins Landon Collins and the NBA’s two-time reigning Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, along with EDM sensations Steve Aoki and DJ Nicky Romero, the Billboard Award-winning Imagine Dragons, and renowned Latin music producer Tainy.

While NBA, NFL, and MLB stars have invested millions in esports over the past year, Fritz is one of the first Tennis pros to recognize the investment opportunity of competitive gaming, with the esports industry expected to reach $2.4 billion in revenue by 2020.

“As the first tennis pro and youngest investor to date, I’m really excited to join the ReKTGlobal team,” remarked Fritz. “It’s a dream come true to invest in this fast-growing esports organization and follow my passion for competitive gaming. As the esports industry continues to blow up and go mainstream, I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team and making magic happen. Livestreaming with the Rogue squad and DrLupo will be a fun bonus too.”

As an avid gamer, Fritz has always been passionate about professional esports and gaming. Although he found athletic success on the tennis court, Fritz will have the opportunity to express his passion for gaming through his investment in ReKTGlobal and the support of Team Rogue. As part of the ReKTGlobal investment team, Fritz brings years of personal gaming experience to the table and will support the growth and continued global expansion of ReKTGlobal, Rogue, and the London Royal Ravens.

“Taylor Fritz is a rising star, both in tennis and esports,” boasted Amish Shah, Founder and Chairman of ReKTGlobal. “In addition to his role as our latest investor, Taylor is an avid gamer who takes his PlayStation on the road so that when he has downtime or is in need of a release, he can jump on the sticks and play Fortnite and Call of Duty. He truly knows his stuff when it comes to the esports industry, teams, and players so we’re very excited to welcome him to the ReKTGlobal family.”

In 2015, Fritz played his first Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour tournament at Nottingham, where he received a wild card and won his first ATP match. He turned pro after winning the Junior U.S. Open and quickly rose from the 600s into the Top 250 of the ATP rankings by, at just 17 years old, becoming the 9th player to win multiple Challenger Tour titles. A force to be reckoned with due to a dominant serve that can reach 149 mph and his ability to hit powerful groundstrokes, Fritz won his first ATP Tour title at the 2019 Eastbourne International tournament, rose to a career-high ranking of #25 in the world, and made his Davis Cup debut representing Team USA.

Founded in 2016, the New York-based ReKTGlobal esports organization bridges the gap between the multi-billion-dollar business of traditional sports and the burgeoning business of esports and competitive gaming. ReKTGlobal is parent company to Rogue, which has expanded its reach with a global presence in several of the world’s most popular video games including Fortnite and League of Legends. Adding to their ownership of global esports powerhouse Rogue, ReKTGlobal recently announced their Call of Duty London franchise team, the Royal Ravens, closed a multi-year deal with TIME’s Most Influential DrLupo, and welcomed Michael “ODEE” O’Dell to the global esports organization as Chief Gaming Officer. ReKTGlobal also acquired both Fullcube, the leading platform and playbook provider of fan-based Insider programs, and Greenlit Content, a hybrid company behind some of gaming’s most popular editorial sites and viral branded gaming content, events and activations in collaboration with brands like Xbox, HyperX, Epic Games, Activision Blizzard and Warner Bros.
